Round 6 was our Inaugural Aestec Services Heritage Round to honour our past as the Gladstone Mudcrabs since rebranding to the Gladstone Suns. During the day we also acknowledged the recent passing of some ex-players in Sean Lacey, Jared Hayne and Mitch Terrick.
For the round, all grades reverted back to one of the more original designs of the Mudcrabs guernseys and none of this could have happened without the generous donation from Aestec Services to cover the cost of all the guernseys. The day was a huge success off the field, but unfortunately on the field, we only had our Oaks Grand Gladstone Women’s side take a win. In great signs for the club, all grades showed a lot of improvement from our Round 1 match ups against the Roos with the Yaralla U13’s going down by just 4 points, Yaralla U15’s by 1 point and Bill Robertson Toyota Reserves by 15 points. Plus our Bill Robertson Toyota Seniors had a 10 goal turnaround from the Round 1 match up.
